This guided meditation script is designed for use in outdoor settings to help clients ground themselves, awaken their senses, and deepen their connection to the natural world. Whether you're working in a park, garden, forest, or simply encouraging clients to step outside, this script can support practices focused on mindfulness, relaxation, and embodiment in nature. It invites stillness, enhances sensory awareness, and offers gentle emotional regulation through contact with the environment.
You may read it aloud during a live session, offer it as an audio recording, or guide your clients to use it independently. The pacing is intentionally gentle, allowing space for silence and integration. Suitable for individual or group settings, this script can be adapted to match the flow of your session.

Guided Meditation Script for Outside:
Find a comfortable place to sit or stand, somewhere you can be undisturbed for the next little while. Let your arms rest gently by your sides or on your knees if you're seated. Allow your body to settle naturally, without force. Gently close your eyes, or keep a soft, relaxed gaze on a peaceful point in the distance.
Take a long, slow breath in through your nose… feel your chest and belly expand… and exhale gently through your mouth. Let yourself fully arrive in this moment. Take another deep breath in… hold it for a moment… and slowly release it, softening your body just a little more with each exhale. Begin to draw your attention downward, toward your feet. Feel the connection between your body and the earth beneath you.
Imagine strong, grounding roots growing down from the soles of your feet, reaching deep into the ground, holding you steady, anchoring you with a quiet strength. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more rooted, more supported by the solid presence of the earth.
Now allow your awareness to gently expand outward. Begin to notice the world around you. Listen carefully. What sounds do you hear? Maybe the rustling of leaves in the breeze… the chirping of birds… the distant hum of life… or perhaps the deep silence that surrounds you.
Don’t try to change anything—simply observe, receiving each sound like a visitor passing through. Let these natural rhythms guide you deeper into stillness. Feel the air on your skin—is it cool or warm? Dry or humid? Can you notice the temperature on your cheeks, your hands, your arms? Let the breeze touch you gently, like nature’s own breath moving around and through you.
As you inhale, imagine breathing in the pure energy of the outdoors—filling your body with calm, life, and presence. As you exhale, release any tension, any distractions, any need to do anything other than be here.
You are exactly where you need to be. Feel the rhythm of your breath in harmony with the rhythm of the natural world. With every inhale, draw in peace… and with every exhale, let go. Let go of stress… of worries… of thoughts about the past or future. Imagine your breath as a bridge—connecting your inner world to the world around you. Begin to awaken your senses even more deeply.
What can you smell? The earthy scent of soil, the freshness of nearby plants, or the subtle fragrance of wildflowers in the air? What textures do you feel beneath you? The roughness of bark, the softness of moss or grass, the solid surface of a rock? You may even notice the sun warming your skin, or shadows dancing across your closed eyes.
You are not separate from this place. You are part of it. Just as the trees, the sky, the wind, and the birds belong—so do you. There is no rush here. No pressure. Just breath, stillness, and quiet connection. Let your mind be open and free. If thoughts come, that’s okay.
Just notice them, as if they’re clouds drifting by in a vast blue sky. Don’t follow them. Don’t judge them. Simply return to your breath, your body, your place in this moment. With every passing second, feel more at ease. Let nature’s stillness guide you to your own stillness. Let its calm become your calm.
If you wish, you can silently repeat a few gentle affirmations to yourself.
I am present. I am grounded. I am calm.
I am supported by the earth beneath me.
I am connected to the natural world.
I am enough just as I am.
Let these words settle deep into your heart. Breathe them in. And as you continue resting in this space, know that you can return to this feeling anytime. Nature is always here, offering its peace, its wisdom, its quiet support. You are never alone in its presence.
Stay here for as long as you like, simply being, breathing, and noticing. When you feel ready, begin to slowly bring your awareness back. Wiggle your fingers… your toes… feel the earth beneath you again. Take one more deep breath in… and let it out slowly.
Gently open your eyes, and look around. Take in your surroundings with fresh eyes—notice the colors, the movement, the light. Let this calm and connection stay with you as you carry on with your day.
Wherever you go, know that this sense of grounded peace is within you—and the natural world is always ready to welcome you back.
