This meditation is ideal for students dealing with the demands of school, balancing their responsibilities, and needing a peaceful break to reset their minds.

You can adapt this script to suit your personal style or use it as is. The goal is to provide your clients with a moment of stillness, so they can reconnect with their inner peace and face their challenges with confidence.

Let’s get started.

Guided Meditation Script for High School Students:

Begin by finding a comfortable position, either sitting down with your back straight or lying flat on the floor. Now, gently close your eyes. Take a deep breath in through your nose, allowing your lungs to fill up completely… and then slowly exhale through your mouth, releasing any tension that you may be carrying in your body.

Let’s do that again—breathe in deeply… feeling the air filling your body… and slowly exhale, allowing your breath to soften, letting go of any remaining tightness or stress.

With each breath, allow your body to sink into the surface beneath you. Feel the weight of your body grounding you to the earth. Let your shoulders relax, dropping away from your ears. Unclench your jaw and soften your face.

Allow your forehead to smooth, letting go of any furrowed thoughts. Just be here, in this moment, allowing yourself to fully experience this time for yourself. You deserve this time of peace, of rest.

Now, imagine yourself standing in a quiet, peaceful place. It might be a calm beach, a forest clearing, or a beautiful garden—whatever place feels peaceful and safe to you. Visualize yourself standing in this place, surrounded by nature, where the world feels still and quiet. Feel the gentle breeze on your skin, the warmth of the sun shining down, and the soft sounds of nature around you.

Every sound you hear is calming—whether it's the rustling of leaves, the sound of waves gently lapping at the shore, or the quiet hum of life all around you. With each breath, imagine that this peaceful place is becoming more real to you. The colors are vibrant, the air is fresh, and you feel at ease in this safe and tranquil space.

Now, bring your attention to your breath once again. Take a deep breath in through your nose… feeling the cool air as it enters your lungs. And then, slowly exhale through your mouth, letting go of anything that no longer serves you.

Each time you exhale, imagine releasing any stress, any worries, any doubts that might be cluttering your mind. As you breathe in, feel yourself filling up with fresh, peaceful energy, and as you breathe out, imagine pushing out any negative or unhelpful thoughts.

Now, imagine a warm, golden light above your head. This light is peaceful, calming, and full of positive energy. As you take another deep breath in, feel the light beginning to move slowly down over your head. Let it wash over your scalp, relaxing all the tiny muscles there.

Feel it gently moving down past your forehead, smoothing out any tension. Let this golden light move over your eyes, your nose, and your mouth, allowing your face to soften and relax.

Now, feel the light moving down to your neck, releasing any tension you might be holding there. Let it flow over your shoulders—your shoulders may feel heavy, but allow this light to melt that weight away, letting your shoulders drop into a deeper state of relaxation.

As the light moves down your arms, feel it soothing your muscles, all the way down to your fingertips. Allow each part of your body it touches to relax more deeply.

Now, this warm light continues to move down your chest, over your heart, and into your belly. With each breath, feel your body becoming more relaxed, more at peace. Feel the light moving down your spine, releasing any tightness in your back.

Let it flow down your legs, relaxing your thighs, your knees, and your calves. Feel the warmth of this light reaching all the way to your feet, grounding you deeper into the earth.

With every breath, your body is more and more filled with this peaceful light. You feel calm, clear, and grounded. Every part of you is relaxed, and you are safe in this moment.

Now, silently repeat these affirmations to yourself, allowing the words to gently settle into your mind:

"I am calm. I am peaceful."
"I trust myself. I trust the process."
"I am capable of handling whatever comes my way."
"I am enough just as I am."
"I am in control of my mind and my thoughts."
"I can focus, and I can succeed."


As you repeat these affirmations, feel them sinking into your heart, becoming a part of you. Let go of any negative thoughts or doubts and replace them with these powerful affirmations. You are strong, you are resilient, and you are more than capable.

Now, visualize yourself facing a challenge—whether it’s an upcoming test, an assignment, or a situation in your life that feels overwhelming. See yourself handling it with ease and confidence. Imagine yourself preparing for this challenge calmly, focusing on each step, and trusting that you can handle it.

Feel the sense of control you have over the situation. Feel your inner strength rising. Know that you are fully capable of achieving whatever you set your mind to. This moment of peace is helping to recharge your mind, your body, and your spirit, so that you can meet your challenges with confidence and focus.

Take a few moments to just rest here in this peaceful state. Notice how calm and still your body feels. Notice how clear and strong your mind is becoming. You are ready. You are prepared. You are calm. You have everything you need within you.

When you're ready, gently bring your awareness back to the room. Start by wiggling your fingers and toes… Take a deep, refreshing breath in through your nose… And slowly exhale through your mouth. Feel the energy of the room around you, and begin to feel your body becoming more awake, more energized.

When it feels right for you, slowly open your eyes. Take a moment to appreciate the calmness you’ve created for yourself. You’ve just given yourself a moment of peace and focus, and you can return to this state anytime you need to. Remember, you are capable, you are focused, and you are ready for anything.
