This guided meditation script is designed to support your clients in healing from eating disorders. It focuses on fostering self-compassion, reconnecting with their bodies, and offering a peaceful space for emotional healing. This script can be used in your sessions to help clients cultivate a healthy, nurturing relationship with their bodies and their food, encouraging them to release negative patterns, develop new, empowering habits, and embrace their inherent worth. The meditation invites them to connect with their body as a trusted partner in healing and to experience deep relaxation and self-acceptance.

Guided Meditation for Healing Eating Disorders:
Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position. Whether you're sitting or lying down, let your body find a place of ease. Gently close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so, and take a deep breath in through your nose... and slowly exhale through your mouth.
As you breathe in, notice the sensation of the air entering your lungs, filling you with calmness and peace. And as you breathe out, let go of any tension, any worries, and any expectations.
In this moment, there is nothing to do, nowhere to go. Just allow yourself to be present.
Bring your awareness to your feet. Feel them connected to the ground beneath you. Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, extending deep into the earth, providing you with a solid foundation. These roots ground you, offering support and stability.
With each breath, let the grounding sensation move upward. Let it travel up your legs, your hips, your torso, and all the way to the top of your head. Feel this energy of stability and strength filling your entire body, making you feel safe and secure.
Now, place one or both hands gently over your heart. Feel the warmth of your touch, the softness of your skin. Breathe deeply, feeling the rise and fall of your chest. As you inhale, imagine breathing in a soft, golden light. This light represents compassion—compassion for yourself, for your journey, for all that you have experienced.
With each breath, allow this golden light to expand throughout your body, soothing any tension, calming any emotions you may be holding. On each exhale, release any negativity—any judgment, any doubts, any fear surrounding your body or your relationship with food. Let these feelings float away like clouds drifting across the sky.
Now, take a moment to check in with your body. Do you notice any areas of tension or discomfort? Maybe it’s in your shoulders, your stomach, or your chest. Send your breath into those areas, gently inviting them to relax. Allow the warmth of compassion to melt away any tightness.
Let’s begin to connect more deeply with your body. Imagine that your body is a trusted companion, someone who loves and cares for you unconditionally. Visualize your body speaking to you, its voice gentle, nurturing, and full of understanding:
"I am here for you. I have carried you through every experience, every challenge, every moment of your life. I am strong. I am resilient. And together, we can heal."
Take a moment to thank your body, not just for its physical form, but for everything it has done to support you. Feel gratitude for its strength, its wisdom, and its ability to heal.
Now, imagine you are standing in a beautiful, peaceful meadow. The sky above you is clear and blue, and the warmth of the sun is comforting on your skin. The air smells fresh, like flowers in bloom, and a gentle breeze whispers through the trees.
This is your safe space—a place where you are free to be yourself, free from judgment, free from pressure, and free from expectations. Here, you are whole. Here, you are enough.
Take a few deep breaths in this space. As you breathe, imagine the air around you is filled with healing energy. Each breath you take in brings healing into your body and mind. Each exhale releases anything that no longer serves you.
In this space of healing, I invite you to repeat these affirmations silently or aloud:
I am worthy of love and respect, just as I am.
I honor my body and treat it with kindness.
I trust myself to nourish my body in ways that feel good.
I release all guilt and shame related to food and my body.
I am healing, and I am strong.
Allow these affirmations to soak into your being. Let them become part of who you are, reminding you that you are worthy of compassion, understanding, and love, especially from yourself.
As you stand in this peaceful meadow, imagine yourself moving gently, without pressure, in tune with your body. Feel the strength in your legs as you take each step, feeling grounded in the present moment. Notice how your body moves with ease, how you are fully in sync with your own rhythm.
Know that you can return to this safe space anytime you need. It is always within you, accessible whenever you choose to find peace.
Now, bring your awareness back to your breath. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest. Breathe in deeply, allowing the healing energy of this moment to fill your entire being. As you exhale, release any lingering stress, negativity, or self-doubt.
Begin to bring your attention back to the present moment. Start to wiggle your fingers and toes. Gently stretch your body, feeling a sense of lightness and relaxation. When you feel ready, open your eyes.
Take a moment to reflect on the peace you've created in this time. Acknowledge your courage for showing up for yourself, for taking this time to heal and reconnect. Thank yourself for this journey, knowing that you are worthy of all the love and care that you deserve.
Carry this sense of calm and compassion with you as you move forward, knowing that your healing path is a process, one step at a time. You are doing your best, and that is enough.
