This full moon yoga meditation script is designed for meditation professionals to guide their clients in connecting deeply with the reflective and transformative energy of the full moon. In this session, your clients will be gently supported in releasing stagnant energy, emotional tension, and thought patterns that no longer serve them, while cultivating clarity, inner balance, and a renewed sense of calm.
This meditation can be used as part of a full moon ritual, a standalone session for emotional release, or as a tool to support ongoing mindfulness and self-awareness practices, enabling clients to carry the serene energy of the full moon into their daily life.
Let's get started.
Full Moon Yoga Meditation Script:
Invite your clients to visualize a radiant full moon hanging high above, glowing with soft, silvery light that feels both powerful and gentle. Allow them to imagine this moon as a source of calm, clarity, and renewal, radiating energy that reaches across the night sky and begins to touch them with its luminous presence.
Encourage them to see the light cascading down slowly, like liquid silver, brushing over the crown of their head and gently flowing down over their forehead, eyes, and cheeks.
Suggest they notice how it warms and soothes their temples, softening any tension around the jaw, releasing the tightness in the shoulders, and allowing the arms and hands to relax fully.
Guide them to feel this light moving down their chest and back, opening the heart space, relaxing the ribcage, and washing over every organ, every muscle, dissolving fatigue, heaviness, or emotional burden they may be carrying.
Encourage them to let the light continue to flow through the abdomen, pelvis, and hips, melting away stress, worry, or any tension stored in these areas.
Invite them to sense the light moving down through the legs, softening the thighs, knees, calves, ankles, and feet, until the entire body feels completely bathed in the serene glow of the full moon.
Give a few moments for them to fully absorb this visualization, allowing the sensation of the moon’s energy to deepen, filling every cell of the body with calm, clarity, and gentle rejuvenation.
As they continue to breathe in this lunar light, guide them to begin moving gently with their body, starting with seated side stretches.
Instruct them to inhale deeply, reaching one arm up and over, feeling a gentle stretch along the side of the body, then exhale, releasing and returning to center. Repeat on the other side, moving slowly and mindfully, paying attention to the breath and the sensations of release.
Flow into Cat-Cow stretches, moving with the rhythm of the breath, inhaling to lift the chest and gaze upward, opening the heart, and exhaling to round the spine, releasing tension and letting go of any lingering heaviness.
Encourage them to move with intention, fully aware of how the body responds, noticing the subtle movements and the way the lunar energy flows through them with each motion.
Guide them into gentle heart-opening movements, such as supported bridge or cobra, allowing the chest to lift, the shoulders to open, and the heart to feel expansive. Remind them that this is a time for cultivating openness, positivity, and clarity, letting the light of the moon amplify these qualities.
Afterward, bring them into a seated forward fold, encouraging grounding and introspection, reminding them to let go of any thoughts, worries, or energies that no longer serve them. As they fold, suggest they visualize these energies flowing out of the body and dissolving into the light of the moon above.
Throughout these movements, emphasize mindful awareness, respecting their body’s limits, and continuing to feel the full moon’s light surrounding, filling, and nourishing every part of them. Encourage clients to silently repeat affirmations, such as,
“I release what no longer serves me. I embrace clarity, peace, and light,”
imagining each word blending with the moonlight, carrying away tension, stress, and limiting thoughts. Pause frequently, allowing space for the body, mind, and energy to integrate these intentions.
Guide them to take slow, deep breaths, noticing the rise and fall of the chest and belly, feeling the calming lunar energy circulating through the body with each inhale and releasing with each exhale.
Gradually guide them into stillness, lying down or sitting comfortably, drawing attention to subtle sensations in the body—the softness of contact with the floor or chair, the gentle warmth of the moonlight they have visualized, and the rhythm of their breath.
Encourage observation of thoughts, emotions, or sensations without attachment, letting them drift away naturally, like clouds passing across the moonlit sky, allowing a few moments of silence for deep integration and inner calm.
Finally, bring awareness gently back to the body and surroundings. Suggest soft, grounding movements—wiggling fingers and toes, stretching the arms overhead, rolling the shoulders, or gently turning the head from side to side.
Guide a few final deep breaths, feeling the body revitalized and balanced, carrying the calm, clarity, and lunar energy into the rest of their day or week. Close the meditation with a final affirmation if desired:
“I am aligned, balanced, and renewed with the energy of the full moon”
inviting clients to open their eyes when ready, carrying with them a sense of serenity, light, and renewal.
